At the Department of Zoology, Namrup College, we believe that dedication and hard work deserve recognition


                                  Late Nekibur Rahman & Late Aroti Saikia Memorial Award, 2025

To encourage academic excellence and to honour the memory of two esteemed personalities, the department proudly presents the following Meritorious Awards every year.

Late Nekibur Rahman Memorial Award

Instituted in loving memory of Late Nekibur Rahman, this award celebrates a student who demonstrates outstanding academic performance, sincerity, and commitment to the study of Zoology. This award was introduced in the year 2022 by Mr. Sajidur Rahman in memory of his father Late Nekibur Rahman.

It reflects the department’s spirit of nurturing excellence and perseverance — inspiring every learner to reach greater heights.

🏆 Awarded annually to the top-performing B.Sc. Zoology student based on overall academic merit.

Late Aroti Saikia Memorial Award

The Late Aroti Saikia Memorial Award honours a student who embodies academic brilliance, integrity, and passion for life sciences. This award was introduced in the year 2024 by Ms. Dorodi Saikia Borah in memory of her mother Late Aroti Saikia.

This award is a tribute to the enduring values of hard work, discipline, and the pursuit of knowledge.
